Texture Hair Salon
Hello. My name is Ramsey Sayah. I am Master Stylist, with over 20 years of industry experience and owner of two successful and thriving salons in Ottawa. I opened Texture Hair Salon in 2000 and ten years later I opened Texture Hair Boutique.
I take great pride in our award winning team of Stylists and although I have been a mentor to them – I draw inspiration from them every day. I am very proud of my career to date, but there is still so much more to learn and do!
In addition to working in the salon, I’ve worked as a columnist, on television sets and competed in many hair competitions.
Even though my clientele list includes actors, athletes and politicians – my philosophy is to treat every guest that walks into our salon like a celebrity.
As a Wella Professionals Consultant I have traveled all over North America – trying to make my mark on the industry. I have attended many educational seminars around the world on both hair styling and business.
I started my love affair with hair at 17 and I have been evolving my skills ever since. Education is key and I make it my mission to never stop learning and growing as a stylist. I’ve taken my artistry to the next level and entered several hair competitions including Sebastian’s What’s Next and Wella Trend Vision. I love doing total colour transformations and getting my clients to their dream hair! Working in the hair and beauty industry has taken me to exciting places and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future for me here at Texture!
Hello beautiful people! I’ve been in the industry since 2003, and I can’t see myself doing anything else! Hair is not just my job – it’s my life! I love my job and I love making my guests happy every visit. I tell every guest, “life it too short to have boring hair”! Have fun with it!
I’ve worked with all types of hair, and I love a challenge.
I’ve entered many hair competitions, starting with the 2013 Sebastian What’s Next Competition where I won Gold. It was such an unbelievable experience. In 2015 I placed in the top 7 for all of Canada in the Young Talent division of the North American Trendvision Competition.
I believe it’s important to keep yourself educated in the industry. I go on courses 2-3 times a year and got my Master Colourist, Master Cutting and Creative Colour and Cut Diploma. I have travelled to New York, Toronto and Los Angeles for some of the best education available.
I can’t wait to meet you – get ready to be happy and beautiful!
I’ve been passionate about hair for as long as I can remember. I started doing hair working at Diversity braiding and doing extensions around 2005. I graduated from Versailles Academy in 2015 with honours, placing 2nd in my graduating glass. I’m fully certified for both Goldwell and Wella Colour.
I took Sebastian’s Razor cutting course in 2015, and I’ve been excited to apply it to many of my cuts, especially bobs, which I excel at. I’m great with adding body to fine hair, and creating polished, finished blowouts and styles.
I literally started from the bottom now I’m here! I started working at Texture in 2007 when I was just starting highschool. I’m very lucky to have been able to learn from such talented people starting at a young age, and the passion of the Texture staff is a big part of what made me the stylist I am today.
I graduated from Algonquin’s hairstyling program in 2011, and I’ve continued my training with Wella’s amazing artistic team. Some of the courses I’ve taken include Sebastian Urban Men’s Cutting, Sebastian’s Advanced Women’s Cutting, Wella Master Colour and Colour Correction. I worked as an assistant twice for the National Trendvision Competition, in both LA and Vegas. They say a good assistant makes a great stylist – and I’d like to think I’m proof of that!
If you’re looking for a bomb fade I’m your man, and I love free-hand ombre and balayage for you ladies! I love all types of hair – so bring it on! I’m a perfectionist who takes pride in my work - I’ll always make sure you’re 100% happy before you leave my chair. Whether you’re 7 or 70, I look forward to meeting you.
My name is Arielle Campbell and I’ve been doing hair since 2009. At a young age I knew hair was something I loved, I was always trying to curl someone’s hair or force my mom to let me dye her hair all kinds of crazy colors. I grew up in Montreal and at the age of 17 decided to attend hair school there before moving to Ottawa where I really started my hair career. Since then, hair has become not only my job but my passion.
After 4 years of working in Westboro I decided to move to texture where I was welcomed with open arms. What can I say? I love the team and the amount of creativity and talent we all have. We all feed of each other which makes us all stronger hairstylists. I‘m proud to be working with one of the top hair coloring companies (as well as my favorite!) Wella. I’ve been working with Wella for years and I’ve taken part in a few of their classes to further my knowledge of their products. I‘ve also taken part in many other classes to perfect my skills in updos and color techniques.
I’m always trying to expand in my knowledge in this industry, since it‘s an industry that’s forever changing. I love doing hair because I feel like I‘m always learning each day - it’s not only a job to me but it something I love doing!
Jeff has been in the hair and beauty industry since 2001; his main focus is to meet the client’s desire and expectation. He is very patient and attentive to details, Specializes in highlights, colour and cuts. He is an extremely talented and creative stylist and continues to develop new skills every day.
Hey! I’m Laura! My passion for hair started when I was in my early teens and I have been doing hair professionally since 2010. I graduated second in my class at Algonquin College, and since then I have taken courses with Aveda, Schwartzkopf, Wella and Sebastian colour lines.
When I’m not working at Texture or furthering hair dressing education, I enjoy spending time with my young son. Even though I love being a mom, I really enjoy this line of work; it doesn’t feel like a job to me. When you really love what you do, it shows through your work. I like challenging myself with new colours and cuts so I’m always up to date on current trends. Come in to Texture to see what I’m about!
Hi! I graduated at the end of 2013 from Versailles Academy in hair and makeup. I then assisted for over a year where I gained more knowledge from other amazing stylists before I got my hands dirty and started working on the floor!
What I love most about this industry is making my clients look and feel beautiful. I think that we live in a world where life sometimes gets stressful and hectic and we forget to take care of ourselves or we don‘t feel 100%. When times are tough for my clients, I love being able to make that small little difference in their day where they can not only look good, but most importantly feel good. Seeing an ordinary person like me make such a positive difference makes me really happy, and that’s why I love doing what I do!
What I also love is that this industry is always changing and there’s always different trends coming and going which always keeps me on my toes. I love learning new techniques for balayage/ombre, being creative when it comes to updos and expanding my horizons when working with fashion colors. I am definitely a bit of a perfectionist and will do my very best leaving you happy when you leave my chair! I look forward to meeting all you beautiful people!
Here’s a little bit about myself.
I knew that I wanted to be a Hairstylist from when I was a little girl when I decided to cut my younger brother’s hair and get in trouble for it, but that didn’t stop me, that’s when I knew I had a passion for hair.
I have over 20 years of experience in the hair industry. I am a certified Wella master colorist; I am always learning new styles and staying up to date on new trends. I love working with all types of hair and also specialize in balayage and creative colours.
Since the young age of 3 I’ve said I wanted to do hair. My grandmother being my biggest inspiration, she
did hair for over 40 years! At 14 years old I got my first job in a hair salon and started competing, 2 of which I placed 2 nd and 3 rd. That’s when I knew that this career was for me. 10 years in and I can’t picture myself doing anything else. It’s really important to me to keep up with trends and to stay educated. After all the industry is constantly changing and I absolutely love the challenges it brings me. Making people feel and look beautiful is beyond satisfying! I’m so excited to be part of such an amazing, talented team that I can also call me friends.
